dvi cable or vga dead

i have a problem evry 5 or 6 or 3 minutes my screnn goes black for 2 sec and then i have signal again but when i have signal i can see some strange lines not alway but sometimes in my screen so my screen is broken my dvi or my vga

coolermaster silent pro 620 w

ram 8 gb kingston ddr3 1333 hz

screen lg flatron m2262d

please let me know if its something dangerous for my computer because i use it fo gaming and its my only pc so i dont want to damage anything

It could be your graphics card, but let's start with the cable, it's easier and cheaper to replace.

i have a hdmi somewhere i am going to use this but  do you think that it is the cable because  if a cable is dead i think that i will havent signal at all

no, VGA cables can do all sorts of weird stuff, I've seen some turn screens a purple colour when they're on their way out. It all depends. But if I were you, I'd be replacing a $5 cable before I replace a graphics card or monitor.

i have dvi no vga i think that dvi its digital this is why propably when it dies you have no signal corect if i am wrong but i would try hdmi any way

i tried the hdmi same thing   it does exactly the same. Now what i cant aford to buy a new gpu right now please someone help

try another screen and try your card in a different system.

its in the screen, my monitor died the same way, and i found the problem it was the IP board inside that died :D

my sceen is also a tv monitor and when i whatch tv is fine so i believe screen is fine i cant try my gpu because i dont have another pc to try but my fps and all this thing its ok . today i realise that the first dvi port in my gpu i isnt working i dont know if it is dead or something but when i plug a dvi there i dont have signal at all
