Fat32 maximum partition size

Go to solution Solved by ohJey,

So the partition size can not be bigger than 32Gb?

It can be unlimited I think.  People have formatted a 3TB drive as FAT32 it just limits file sizes to 4GB

I know the official size limit is 32GB, though I have heard there is a workaround to it.

I can't seem to find any information on the limit if you use the workaround.

Use a partition tool like Mini Tool Partition Wizard and you can do larger than 32GB, XP doesn't let you go bigger using their official format tool (which is strange)

So is there any limits to how big the partition size can be? If you use a non official tool.

I found a site which say the maximum disk size is 8TB.

Thanks for the HELP :-)
