I have a nice $1500 PC so I have no reason to buy this.. As you may see around the internet and YouTube people say "$250 CHEAP GAMING PC" but it ends up having an apu in it which SUCKS unless your at 720p loww.. To continue I was messing around and built this on PC part picker http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pd4n99

It has a dedicated gpu which I actually own one and mine can play most games at 1080p high so the 260x is actually worth it

I was wondering if someone were to build this would there be any problems with it? Or will it run fine? Also will it bottleneck and if so how bad? Thanks

For $250, I'd go with a sempron 3850 and an 8800GT, with appropriate parts.

It can play most games on medium @ 900p W/ about 45FPS

How could you complete it though isn't the 8800GT like $180? And it's a little old don't u think? Supporting directx10 and a max resolution of only 1600p

As for DX10 vs 11, apart from tesselation, I didnt notice much of a difference.

Yep, it's old. however, it's about on par with the R7 250E currently out, which is 2x as much.

80GB just aint enough son.

Too much uninstalling/reinstalling to play the games you want.

Can you steal a drive from your laptop?

You'd be surprised with how much you can get for less, if you have the time to spend searching for bargains.

4890 DX10 is a beast, when my machine was getting a replacement Mobo.

Got the Dell Q6600 out, electrical tape modded to 3.0Ghz :)

4890 = Grid Autosport, BF4 and FC3, SniperV3 the games tested.

900P LCD - Texture quality @ high levels and most details on low-medium

Aiming for 50fps average with reduced details /w HQ textures. (Which still looks pretty)

Done and Done.

Card really is an old beast

Q6600 system = Free

4890 = Old parts

SSD = Fast enough

Pretty swank... as its made of out of zero dollars really :)

Bottlenecking, sure, but gives you the Gaming Fix when you have no capable machines.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

The design of that reminds me so much of a quadro.
