$600 GAMING ONLY PC

Number 29

I've been looking for parts etc what not for my friend and he wants around 600 for his budget so I came up with this.

I've seen that the 750ti is a great card however I went with the SC instead of FTW because I've read that the FTW is kind of loud due to the cooler but it stays very cool due to it.

this is the build i came up with: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/pc101201/saved/s7XJ7P

Well from what I've read the 750ti out performs the 260x which is right around the same price area as this card (approx 10-20 dollars) so I figured might as well as spend a bit more for more performance

He wants to build it on his own and he wants it to be easy and straight forward so I just threw in a cheap ODD for him for the OS install.

The 750ti has about the same performance as the R7 260X. Sometimes the GTX is 5-10% better, sometimes the R7 is, it depends on the game, but it balances. Why you chose 2133MHz in a 600$ build is complety not understandable for me. You won't get anything from it, but you waste some budget. Normal 1600MHz RAM will do just fine:

So I hooked you up with a better motherboard and got rid of the RAM. Also I put in a PSU that is semi modular and very cheap at the moment due to mail in rebates. That way I was able to scramble in a R9 270X, which will simply crush your 750Ti.
