I have an A88XM Gaming motherboard. I installed all the drivers including the the Killer Network driver, but I can't get a WiFi connection. The troubleshooter told me I need Ethernet. Is this true? If that's my only option, then I'm stuck with a USB NIC... This is also on Windows 7 64-bit.

It could be me, but the Killer-drivers are for LAN. If I look at the MSI-product page I see nothing about WiFi on this board.

Currently working on a Watercooled Corsair Obsidian 350D (clicky)

Is a NIC what gives you WiFi in the first place? I assumed the "internet" driver would help with that. I guess I'm just so used to using a laptop that has a NIC preinstalled?

The internet on the USB wifi card I have is very inconsistent. It works for several minutes then goes out randomly. Troubleshooter solves it, but this shouldn't have to be done...

The motherboard does not have WiFi capability. You will need to get a PCI expansion card if you require WiFi.
