Windforce 270x. Good purchase?

Hey guys I recently received as a gift from my friend a R9 270x Gigabyte Windforce edition. So far i've been really enjoying the card, it was a decent sized upgrade from my custom cooler GTX 480.

 

Anywho, I want to know if anyone else who might have this card has been having issues with OC'ing it? I've had little to no luck and will run into blue screens left and right, so I decided to give up and just keep it at stock.

 

Also is the Windforce edition better than a reference model by any chance? I figured it would because of the triple fan usage to keep it super cool. (Honestly love the fan configuration.)

could just be your luck

 

the Asus 270X Top can OC to 1250MHz

 

use MSI Afterburner and up the GPU core speed

 

slowly increase the voltage and see if you can keep the card stable

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
