Razer KRAKEN PRO PROBLEM

HighTech Media

So ive had these Razer Kraken Headsets for a while now but for an odd reason, I seem to have a problem with recording from it's mic. There seems to be a soft continuous quiet static sound in the background, it's the same with any program I use to record voice. Are the headsets made this way or is there any way possible that I can change that?

Gaming headsets are pretty bad quality so likely it's the headset but it could also be your onboard sound. If you have another mic try it in your comp and see if the static is still there. Dedicated headphone and mic are almost always better quality at pretty much every price point.

Edit: Also certain programs like Audacity have static in the background.

The thing "next level" gaming mics using is Realtek Background noise reduction. You need realtek driver for your MOBO. Look for it at mobo's page.
