LGP with multiple ports?

So Ive had my LGP since last week and am getting around to ordering the parts. my graphics card is the gigabyte 7970, which has dvi hdmi and dp. Now can i run a dvi chord to my monitor like usual and then have an hdmi chord running to my LGP. What i mean is will the card be outputting the video to the HDMI and DVI at the same time? I hope this makes since.
