Computer won't fully go into sleep mode *Windows 7*

Hey guys! 

 

I need help. I have windows 7 64 bit home premium and when I try to put my desktop into sleep mode but it fails. The monitor turns off but I can still hear the fans in the computer running for about 10-15 minutes then the whole computer just shuts down. It does this randomly. Its a custom built rig. It's not a huge deal to me but honestly its just annoying because I don't like to shut my PC down much at all.

What exactly are your steps for going about putting it to sleep?

 

Also what are your system's specs?
