Planetside 2 mini map woes

Plain and simple, my mini map will no longer show my player location/orientation. Note i am not talking about the full size continent map, but the mini map you see while in game, it had worked flawlessly until i restarted my PC today and all of a sudden my mini map won't work.

look at the controls.There's something that toggles it for sure.
