DVI to VGA

VenatoS

It might be pretty embarassing to say but i still use VGA as to my AOC monitor. (LED 1920x1080)

My question is pretty simple, will a Adaptor from DVI to VGA affect my graphics cards performance or monitors in anyway?

No. I dont think so, just converts the signal

Would it be better for me to get a DVI-D cable over using the VGA cabling?

An adapter will not effect performance.

An adapter will not effect GPU performance, thw signal on the other hand is turned from digital to analog. The length of the VGA cable and the quality of the connections can be a detriment on visual fidelity. Also I don't think VGA supports more than 60Hz, unlike Dual-link DVI which can support my 144HZ manitor.

DVI is a much better option, it being a digital signal, it will either work to it's full potential or not work at all. Unlike VGA which is an analog signal that can be effected by a lot of different variables.

If the quality of the image is fine for you i don't see why would you spend the money on a dvi cable, if you already have one then use it.
