hello everyone ,

Today i am at a breaking point. My internet is way to slow (http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3621027771) and my only choices are to stay with my current ISP (Centurylink) or switch to Comcast. I understand what Comcast has been doing the past few months and recognize that they are not a "good" company in any since of the word. But if they have one thing (in my area) it is speed. So if you could can you help me out a little? should I stay or switch?

Things to take note

  • With CenturyLink I am paying for the max in my area (10 down)
  • I am concerned if/what Comcast's data caps are so if you could inform me.

Thanks in advance - WattledGold

I recently switched from DSL to Comcast cable for speed and other reasons.

I went from about 1.6/.7 Mbps to about 28/5 Mbps download and upload, however unlike DSL the cable connection can fluctuate A LOT and can become sluggish usually around prime time 8-10 pm.

Comcast only has 250 GB data cap in certain regions, HOWEVER they are messing around with the idea of having data cap on all of their customers in the future.

Here's a link to all the data cap locations

If you really want the speed, then I guess you'll have to play with the "devil."
