As I am currently using CoolerMaster CM Storm's Mech keyboard. I am really pleased with its quality and built. So when I came upon the latest CoolerMaster's Quickfire Rapid-i I bought it straight away.

The keyboard came well packaged, it was covered in a soft Styrofoam sheet and the cardboard padding provide ample knock resistance.

In the packaging, the keyboard comes with a key remover tool, a braided right angled mini USB cable as well as the usual documentations.

Sadly, I would prefer CoolerMaster to provide some extra keysets for the WASD as well as Spacebar.

I had gotten brown switch for this TKL Quickfire Rapid-i. Always prefer brown due to the press feel and not as noisy as blue switch.

I love the details put into this keyboard, the PCB plating is in white! It will helps to to brighten the LED more (I gotten white LED version) and also tends to illuminates it more evenly throughout the whole keyboard.

The cables are really nice and instead of the usual USB cable, CoolerMaster Quickfire Rapid-i came with a braided right angle one which I find its a nice touch.

CoolerMaster Quickfire Rapid-i kept the details to the minimum. I love the simple minimalistic look, it look more professional and classy in my personal opinion. The surface of the keyboard has a soft coating which is really nice to touch. Its not those Razer's rubber surface which I believe this coating of Rapid-i would last longer and better than Razer's rubber coats.

Overall, the keyboard has a few new features such as

  • Full White LED Backlight
  • ActivLite Technology
  • Responsive Lighting Effects Upon Keypress
  • Individual Key Lighting Across 4 Profiles

These bling bling effects is really nice and allows users to custom LED effects according to their preference.
