I'm always sure to like his videos and use other methods to support him but I'm not going to have ads showed down my throat 24/7. Sorry Linus and Slick. I know ya'll gotta eat but I would also like to keep my sanity.

FYI, there is a way to disable ABP on particular YouTube channels, as discussed on the ABP forums. Check it out here:

You can see the 5 line script is safe. Add that to Greasemonkey (or similar), and then add an exception to your ABP filter like so:
@@|http://www.youtube.com/watch*user=LinusTechTips
