I have the 1000w version of that. Although I read that some PSU's are now new 4th gen haswell (4790k) ready so I'm worried mine not be.

But yes it's good, it hasn't failed at all on me

You can't tell if a power supply is good just because you plug it in and it works. I wouldn't trust that brand. Also, you probably don't need 1200 watts let alone 1000.

There's more to a power supply than the brand on the box

Can you list your system parts please.

Most of us don't think very highly of Raidmax. They make a lot of crap gamer-oriented power supplies with LEDs rather than good performance and components.

The RX-1200AE claims 80Plus Gold efficiency but doesn't reach it. The quality is pretty unimpressive, with acceptable capacitors and poor soldering. The warranty is only for 1 year. If you actually need 1200W and are willing to spend $160, you might as well get something that will last a few years at least, and has good performance and quality. This isn't it.

There are some excellent/good EVGA power supplies, and some of them are "ok".
