Windows 8 password

I have a laptop that has been updated to windows 8, it has 1 username which has a windows account, the person has had a stroke and cannot remember his password, he also cannot remember the password to his email, how do I get into the laptop, reset is asking for a disk, this is not an option. please help

sounds sketchier then asking where to find a free software.

 

I personally gotten past this, but I don't feel comfortable disclosing and helping unless it feels legitimate. so either prove this to be true, and I will be more then happy to help. if not, well, I doubt other forum members will help.

Try to connect the HDD to a different computer, but don't boot from it. I have done this before and I could get the data off, even if there is a password.

 

And did you google this? There are many how to websites and videos.

I have a shop in Ireland - config.ie - I could simply do a reinstall of Windows 7 of which I have a spare licence but I know this customer of mine is genuine, he did have a stroke and has unfortunately forgotten all his passwords, if possible I would like to simply reset his windows 8 pc to log on with no passowrd, so he doesn't have the same issue in the future, you can contact me using the contact form on the website if you want to know whether I am genuine, I haven't come accross this issue before because generally it is a windows 8 computer and it can be simply reset

I was able to do a factory reset to his computer to the old Windows 7, he will be happy getting his computer back working, thanks for the replies anyway
