So today I took my 4770k out of my socket and then noticed that around 2 or 3 pins were bent. I don't think my removal had an impact on the pins. Will my new 4790k still run with these slightly bent pins?

Hope you can spot them.

And another question, will amazon still accept a 4770K that's missing only the quick start guide? I have the sticker too, but I lost the quick start guide!

Sorry you didn't get an answer earlier;

This is what I used when a buddy had the same scenario. It also comes with an NCIX video with Linus.

Be extremely careful.

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

It's the socket that has the bent pins, though, not the CPU itself. The credit thing may still work though.

I don't think this would work because the pins in LGA1150 are bent at an angle on purpose anyway so this technique is quite difficult.

Will the mechanical pencil technique work?

It may do. Whichever method you use though, just be incredibly careful to not bend them too far, you'll just end up with the same problem but with the pins in a different direction, or worse, snap them off completely.
