Onscreen overlay in DX applications

Just to be clear. This has nothing to do with streaming.

Edit: Nor OSD monitoring.

I'm looking for a way to overlay graphical elements/filters in directx applications, preferably triggered by key presses. The reason for this is that I want my custom key bindings to be reflected by the UI.

 

Any ideas?

Rivatuner osd , Msi afterburner , evga precision ( they are basically the same thing ) . You have to poke around in the options and you'll see there under OSD
