No, I'm not talking about living in Europe where the electricity is 50hz vs 60hz in America. My Logitech c920 that I obtained from a friend (free, mind you) after he claimed it was broken is making some kind of flickering video effect that I just can't seem to figure out. I've tried everything: different logitech software versions, different computers, different capture software suites, and even installing a fresh OS and using integrated graphics with hw acceleration turned off.

Nothing.

So now I'm leaning towards some kind of physical defect with the c920. From the outside it is perfectly clean. Looks brand new. No dents, no scratches. The cable isn't chewed on, ripped, frayed, or anything out of the ordinary. I made sure there were no kinks. Yes, it's plugged in all the way.

This is what the video looks like:

I have only been able to find one documented occurrence other than my own:

So if anyone has any suggestions. I submitted a ticket to Logitech hoping that maybe (maybe) they might send me another one, or if I have to send this one back that would be fine also. My friend has already purchased another c920 so he doesn't care what happens to this one. It would just me nice If I could have this $80 webcam for free :D

I've poured over Google for the last hour trying to find any mention of this "flicker" effect. I can't think of any other words to describe it other than the look you get when you didn't plug the component or RCA cables in correctly.

If you can think of any other search terms that might yield any results, that would be a big help.
