Messaging Crashing Phone

Well guys, I have an issue.  My current phone is the Samsung Galaxy S5, and every time I go to open my messages (use Classic Messenger 4.4 KitKat), it will not allow me to access any of my conversations and after about  three minutes, the app crashes.  Any help?  Anyone know the save location of the files for the messages?
