Get the 1440p monitor as soon as you can!

Hello, I recently decided to replace my 6 year old desktop with a mid-tower with a 2000-2500$ budget. I live in QC, Canada so shipping (tariffs, etc.) may affect me, sadly ):

Anyhow, the build I've envisioned so far is:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790k

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (120 mm)

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX-780 Ti

PSU: Corsair RM850 (RM Series) 850W

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VII Hero LGA 1150 Intel... bunch of shenanigans

SSD: SAMSUNG 840 EVO/PRO (250 or 256 GB capacity)

RAM: G. Skill RIPJAWS series 8/16 GB (2x4 or 4x4 sticks)

Case: Corsair Graphite series 600T Arctic White scheme

Peripherals:

Keyboard: RAZER Ultimate Blackwidow 2014

Mouse: Corsair Vengeance series M95

If there are other better options in the looks and performance departments I could replace the parts with, I'd be glad to read your advice. Also, the 850W is due to the fact that I will probably pick up another GTX-780 Ti later on to SLI

I am extremely new to this (computer stuff AND the forum, haha) and I don't even know where to order from due to shipping issues. Any help regarding this matter is appreciated

2 780 ti's is borderline overkill for 1080p.

An i7 for gaming is pretty overkill too if all you are doing is gaming.

And having no HDD is going to get pretty iffy if you have a lot of stuff to store.

Other than that, the build look pretty good.

p.s. Welcome to the forum!

Thank you =P

I didn't mention it because it might be a bit far into the future but the double 780-ti is for a future 4k monitor and the HDD is already taken care of. I have lots of storage space. =P Also, as for the i7, it's just for the sake of having it haha. I just don't like the sound of having an i5 when I know there's an i7 laying around and I can reach it.

Would it be better to buy a GPU factory overclocked or get it at its regular state?

Because when you buy it at stock speed, it is "The Luck of the Draw". You may get a card that is really good at overclocking, one that isn't great, or one that won't at all.

When you buy one factory overclocked. The manufacturers use a binning process to find the cards that overclock pretty well. So it may be a little more expensive, but it might be worth it to you though.

So basically, it's a guaranteed '' higher-end '' OCed version of the card?
