Help me pick parts?

Hey everyone,

 

I'm building a rig a friends friend and he has a max budget of ~ $700. He says he will be running game engines (he's going to school for game design), and he suggested 6 - 8gb ram, a good video card, a fast cpu. I've already decided to go AMD as that will save money on the cpu as well as the mobo. However, I'd like some advice on a decent video card that would fit in this budget along with a PSU (modular would be way better, I'm guessing 700w would be more than enough).

Check up on the PSU, but Seasonic usually makes very good PSUs.

 

Tahiti XT 7870 is actually something around a 7930.

 

Case he will have to decide himself =P

 

And using stock cooler for now, can add laters.
