My hard drive died last Thursday (I made a post over in the hard drive section for it) and after that I made a Western Digital support case as it's still under warranty.

That was 9 days ago, and they still haven't replied to me. Even though the email they sent me confirming that I'd made a support case said

"Thank you for your email. Our goal is to answer your email within one (1) business day. However, sometimes due to heavy volume it might take little longer to respond."

How much do they mean be "little longer" as it's been 9 days (including weekends) since I made the case.

Have they decided that I'm not allowed to get a replacement and instead of telling me; they're going to just ignore my case and leave it open. Or do you think I should just wait?

My friend has also used Western Digital support and said they replied to him on the same day he made the post.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do or experience with WD support?

I was hoping to have made the post on Thursday, gotten a reply on Friday, sent the HDD back to them on the following Monday and then be on my way to replacement by now. It's killing me to be limited to SSD space.

Thanks for reading.

Dunno, maybe get another ticket or call their toll free line.

I sent a ticket to Noctua about 2 months ago...I guess they were really really busy?

Hang in there, WD is usually a good company.
