Some tips after swapping case

Hello everyone, I recently swapped case for the first time, but I don't have something clear.

Case is Fractal Design Refine R4, Motherboard is MSI  P67A-GD53, Cpu is Intel i5-2500.

I have 2 HDD and a SSD installed on the bottom,

and the middle hdd tray removed from the case.

 

My goals were silence and cooling.

 

1)While building, I couldn't install the motherboard backplate,because it couldn't fit...I decided to remove it completely.

Do I need it?

 

2) How should I make use of the fan control switch in the front of the case?

The one where you set the voltage to 5V,  7V or 12V..

I have the rear fan and the bottom front case fan installed.

2.1) should I have 2 front fans?

 

3) At which target speed should I set the Cpu fan ?

In the BIOS is currently set it to go to max speed when CPU temp reaches 65 C..
