Hey I want to build an app that works with NFC... How do I build it or do I pay a company or what??? No idea how the process even works or where to start so please help me!

You need to find someone who code in Java, knows android sdk, then someone who codes in Objective C (for ios)   and pay him a good money .

 

Otherwise, you just need to learn java (if your focus is on android), obtain basic knowledge about app making for android. and VOILA .  After approx. two years your done

You did not tell us if you even know programming..

If you do, go on, tell us on what grade do you know it, what languages, what have you made, some project. complexity.

 

IF no, there are plenty of tutorials which will get you started.
