Hey,

So I was watching Linus' Corsair 900D unboxing the other day and it got me thinking. I seriously need a new case. I've been needing one for a while now, pretty much ever since I upgraded my power supply. My computer was a pre built HP one when I got it and I thought it was the bees knees. Then I learned about computers. But the point is I need a new case. So here's my requirements/wants:

Would like it to be under £200/$300

Has to fit a micro-ATX in it, preferably with room to upgrade to a regular ATX

Very decent air flow, this is one of the main things for me, currently i have no side panel on my case because airflow is so bad

Large enough space for decent cable management, this again is another main point for me

USB 2.0 ports, with 3.0 ports for future upgrades

Preferably easy/tool-less hard drive installation

So that's pretty much what I would like. It would be great if you guys could recommend something for me.

Thanks,

Paul.

Corsair C70, a UK&US link, I assume you're UK. Nice airflow, looks good, comes in colours and fits your criteria. If you're poking around corsairs website, look at their cases.

The Fractal Design R4 is a great choice because it is a silent case that offers great airflow imo.

Antec, Bitfenix, Fractal Design, Corsair, Lian Li, Silverstone... so now you have like 50 good cases to choose from. i think a case is really a personal choice.

Scroll down until you find something you like :D

I love my XB :-) and its very good value at the moment too....

I have an XB and am not a fan.  Here are the reasons Im not a fan of it

1 -  Its shape makes it awkward to get to the back panel

2 -  You basically gotta take the whole case apart to clean the front intake filters

3 -  They really should have put the PSU on the other side or.... something.  I hate how crowded it is to the xdoc back plane

4 -  Not a big fan of no airflow over the HDDs.  Its fine without but pretty much every modern case has airflow over the HDDs except this one.

5 -  You cannot put a ballin CPU air cooler in and have the 200mm fan populated at the top for clearance issues

What I like about it

1 -  Its unique look.

2 -  The design of the xdoc sleds is very nice

3 -  It has pretty good airflow over the motherboard

4 -  If you put a AIO water cooler on it and it happens to leak from the radiator its not going to collect on your video card

5 -  I love the "desktop" format for graphics cards.  No chance of PCI-e sag happening with this case

6 -  Its cute that a case actually still has 80mm fan options

7 -  removable motherboard tray

All in all its an OK case IMO but even though I have more likes listed than dislikes Im ditching the case likely when the H630 comes out.  I bought the XB because it was unique but its just not workin for me.  Cleaning the air filters is a pain and I really would like some airflow over the HDDS and to be able to put a D14 or phanteks 14 in there.

My XB along with the Noctua C14 will likely be on craigslist before the end of June.

Hey guys! Thanks for all the feedback. I looked at all the cases yous suggested and I think I'm gonna go with the C70. It has everything I need and looks great to. Thanks for giving me suggestions anyway though :)
