It honestly looks ok but if the Romero-less Doom 3 was already stretching it and sorta bad a Romero-less and Carmack-less Doom? No thanks. I'd like to be proven wrong, but I'm not expecting it.

Well it's still carmack's engine. He did a lot of work on this before leaving Id.

But not a new one. I know I know, VR and all but I really wish he was still coding game engines instead.
