Hey  guys I did not know where to go for  this as I have  been checking everywhere for a similar post so when in  doubt ask  Linus right? For the past year  or so  my antivirus software Kaspersky  Internet Security keeps notifying me that Discord is  using my  camera ... I thought it was just some security BS check as it went away in a couple of seconds but yesterday I actually  got  to click on the notification  and it did take me to Discord  camera settings and does show the camera active ... Since I  don't use the camera that much i decided to disable it from Windows , checked Discord it did not appear there anymore so I was ok problem solved no more annoying pop up.

Today I fire up my laptop and had to do some work had Wireshark  on for some  conference I had to  fix, running traces etc. and   I  get the pop  up again Discord is using your camera and I was that's not possible it's disabled right? nope  its enabled even more then that the microphone on the camera was active in setting something that I never used or set as default for audio ..Note that I know how to trace calls and look at PCAPS  but I haven't used Wireshark for  anything more then  that ,  I checked if you can actually capture Discord traffic and how and am following a guide for this ...

Can someone explain what is happening I am running an active trace now trying to catch it but am not sure I will have anything with their encryption and even if I do catch it who do I go to with this?
