I upgraded to a GL.iNet Slate 7 and I realized that the Ubiquiti Flex Mini 2.5 fits perfectly on the top.

A 2.5G network that fits in the palm of my hand. Perfect for Road Warriors (I’m sitting in a hotel right now). Switch is powered by USB on the Slate 7. I need to get a shorter USB A to C cable and make a shorter Cat6 cable, but I’m pretty happy with it.

Once I verify that heat isn’t a problem the LTT cable ties will be replaced with something semi-permanent like VHB tape.

Very nice. For the short patch cables, I like these skinny 6" CAT6 cables from Monoprice. At that length making your own is kind of a pain in the ass; but obviously if you have bulk CAT6 and ends already, go for it. They also have short USB cables too, but honestly not sure if you'll find any much shorter than the one you already have. Though there may be some right angle adapters you could use instead of a cable? Curious what the power draw is with both units running. I imagine you could run it off a USB battery bank for several hours depending on size of battery bank for total portability.

Those are my go to cables for in rack connects. I make my own long runs but most bulk cable just doesn't have enough flexibility for runs under .5m.
