hello! I apologize if I am not posting in the correct section. I have a question, I would like to purchase a power source for my configuration, at the moment I have a focus gx 850w and I keep thinking that a ryzen7 9800x3d, motherboard msi x870e carbon wifi and rtx 5080 suprim soc is not enough for my configuration, what advice do you have to change it or keep it, and if I change it, what do you recommend

Hello. A 850w is plenty fine for a 9800X3D and a RTX 5080, even when overclocked.

The Focus GX is also a good PSU, keep it, nothing to worry about.

You could actually run that system of a solid 650w.

Sure.  I ran my overclocked 9800X3D and overclocked RTX 4080 ( same power draw as a stock 5080 ) with a 750w for a long time.

9800X3D will draw a max of 120w at 100%, RTX 5080 will sit at 340-370w at 100% usage, leave another 80-110w for the rest of your system including SSD, Fans etc.

Thats 610w if you are using everything at 100%, you rarely if ever do that during gaming.

850w PSU is pleenty 🙂

thank you very much for the answers, I was worried because I recently changed the rtx 4080 super to the 5080 and I was afraid that something might burn

No Problem at all.

Nah, you'll be plenty fine 🙂

The Focus GX is a good PSU with quality cables, the 5080 barely draws any more power than an RTX 4080 Super.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about.  Time to play some video games!👍
