"Angry birds" extension

On our 'somewhat' new prebuilt we got for Chirstmas, we installed Avast (and paid for it) and as of late (last couple of days) it's been showing something of an angry birds extension - ranked 1 out of 5 stars. That keeps coming back even though we tell Avast to "kill" it. Neither firefox or chrome show an extension by that name.   The system runs Windows 8.1. And in firefox (I think) the default search engine is changed to yahoo instead of google.
