Budget (including currency): 10.00 SEK, around 1000 USD

Country: Sweden

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Editing videos, no heavy blender stuff. Games I plan to play are Cities Skylines 2, F125, F1 Manager, and just some FPS games, might get into some heavy story-game but not planned so far.

Other details: I’m upgrading from a 2015 Intel Core-Due MacBook Pro so im pretty happy with whatever I get but ofc i wanna get the best price/performance.

Chose these parts:
https://se.pcpartpicker.com/list/hT84HW

Cpu: 5700X
Wanted a decent AM4 cpu, dont plan on upgrading within 5 years so might as well just stick to cheaper parts aswell and build on AM6 in the future.
Gpu: B580

Always wanted to try this since its launch and with the Cpu performance issue fixed, i feel like its worth it, also goes for lower then MSRP

Psu: Corsair Cx750

Not sure if i should get a cheaper cx650 or get the cx750

Motherboard: Gigabyte Eagle B550 Wifi

Kinda dont like that it doesnt have DP but all seems fine, does it have antenas or do i need to get that seperately? Also seems like you have to break the metal brackets instead of screwing them off?
Chassi: MSI Mag Forge 120A
Has 6 fans for a pretty decent price, dont like they arent argb and only rgb, but i take the good with the bad, the chassi itself looks pretty clean too, reveiws seems positive overall
Cpu Cooler: Some Thermalright argb cooler, 15cm

Thermalright seems like an ok brand and its pretty much the cheapest one

Ram: Kingston Fury 32 GB DDR4

 Cheap and decent

Ssd: Kingston Nv3 1 TB

Heard some bbad things abt kingstons ssds but seems to be solved with Nv3

Any suggestions? I dont plan on going AM5 or switching it up too much and dont wanna go over current price by at least 100USD.
Also wanna remind yall that tax in sweden is high so all parts are at least +100USD here compared to US.

If you're buying new AM4 in 2025, it had better be a lot cheaper than that.

We're on the verge of the last few releases for AM5 -

This isn't an argument against AM4 based on upgrade paths, it's just that the CPUs you'll get with AM4 are long behind the curve when it comes to performance per dollar (SEK)

I'd recommend starting again with your CPU/motherboard/RAM choice and select AM5 and DDR5.

Not really, can be done...

Case is completely subjective.  This is just a placeholder.

Edit: Now I don't know how the 7500F performs vs the 5700X in your use cases, but this is an entry level setup that will allow dropping in more powerful CPUs later.  So to me it makes sense to go this route vs going AM4 and having to sell it and rebuy am AM6 rig when you can just upgrade an AM5.

Damn.

yeah this would crush the one i planned

one issue though, i would probably still go with b580 since its got 12 gb vram and it feels like the minimum will be 12 in a not so short amount of time

Your call but atm and for the foreseeable future 8GB is ok at 1080p and without RT - so for all FPS games for example...And B580 is quite slower than 9060XT

If you're really worried about VRAM you should spend a bit more on a 9060XT 16GB imo
