Is there any way to track Apple AirTags from Android devices or Google “Find My” Tags from iOS devices. My research thus far indicates not. My family uses an even mix of Android and iOS devices and I need reliable tags that can be tracked from either. I know Tile and Pebblebee be tags can be used from either but that seems to require either using their proprietary network which is almost nonexistent. If at setup I have to choose between and be locked into either: Apple, Google, Pebblebee, or Tile than that is not actual cross platform functionality. Most posts and articles on this seem to either be outdated or ignore the question of simultaneous compatibility.

For Android:

Step 1: Download a Bluetooth scanner app, with a mapping feature

Step 2: Open the app and start scanning
Step 3: Locate your AirTag in the list Look for an item named “AirTag” in the list of devices.

The AirTag won’t broadcast its actual name, look for something that stands out or doesn’t belong to you.
Step 4. Step 4. Use the signal strength or a map (if the app offers these features) to locate your AirTag.

The way that Apple wrote the code used, while anyone can know that there is an airtagged item somewhere, Bluetooth being Bluetooth, they have no way of discovering its actual location. Only the owner has the ability to locate the item itself.
