Improving shorts

So I recently, in either yesterdays WAN show, or the one before that, saw that Luke and Linus discuss how shorts converts into full length videos.
Now one of the main discussions, was that there's very little conversion from shorts to main video views. So I kept that in mind while watching shorts, and a LTT short came up.
I thought "Let me see if I can watch this full video", but for some reason they have not linked the main video embedded into the short, like you're supposed to when it's a short from a full length video.

Ok, I thought. I'll try the description of the short, which requires 3 clicks, instead of the one it would take if it was on the short itself... Nope, nothing there. So weird...

So I go to the comments! Where it seems to be linked... But it turns out, it's actually the wrong video linked in the pinned comment. 

So if this is how they handle shorts, I'm not surprised they don't get a lot of conversions. For reference I will link the short below;
