Logitech G230 vs G430

are you sure? cause the reviews that I saw, even linus' one, said that everything is good except for the mic quality. But I can stand for that since I will only be using it for skype and teamspeak

and while we are talking about audio, my c525 can record some good audio, so if i really cant stand the mic on my g430s, i can just switch to the c525. but you recommendation counts, what headphones do you recommend?

The headphones have a nice build quality but the sound that they produce is horrible and the included sound card is really bad too.

and while we are talking about audio, my c525 can record some good audio, so if i really cant stand the mic on my g430s, i can just switch to the c525. but you recommendation counts, what headphones do you recommend?

The only good headphones I've tried are the Sennheiser HD650s and Auditechnica AT-M50X which are both solid and way out of the price range. But the G430 crackle and distort lows pretty bad and the performance with highs leave alot to be desired so I just stick to large desktop speakers.

The G230s are meant to be the same but without the sound cards so it won't be any better cause the issue is with the speakers in the headphones so software won't fix it.

All the Logitech Gx30s have the same drivers IIRC. They're bad as @zapsyou said. Much better to get some Sennheisers and a ModMic.

Hope this reaches you before you make a purchase. DON'T BUY THE G430's. 

 

I bought them on sale for 49.99 and returned them two days later. They sound awful, and the USB card has alot of issues, especially with voice comms programs like Mumble, Vent, and TS3.

 

You would be better off going with something else. After I returned them I bought a new pair of Siberia v2's from Amazon for ~$65. I doubt I use anything else in the future, unless I am going with high end headphones.
