I was playing minecraft and all of a sudden my pc just died no power surge no nothing it just randomly turned off. I was trying to turn it on again but it didnt work so i plugged the power cable in and out and tried again, when i turned it on it started smoking and sparks started flying so i plugged it out. I have now taken every part out and checked but nothing seems to be wrong. I put it all back together and now i can turn it on but the motherboard shows red cpu light and yellow dram light i have tried everything pls help.

Do you know the general location that the sparks and smoke came from? would def look deeper in those areas.

Would also be good to look at all of the connections to power. So the power cord to the PSU, to the wall, or any surge protector/etender you have.
as for trying it more, I would highly advise against this. This could cause more damage to the other parts in the system.
CPU and DRAM lights are sadly not specific enough to give the full picture. My first guess would be the Motherboard, but def look deeper into the area that had sparks and smoke.

Does the fact that with my main motherboard the cpu AND dram light lights up but when i tried the old one only cpu lights up or does it not matter

if its truly the PSU, most likely not. My guess would be the power solutions on the board itself. On the older one it may still be giving power to the memory, and the newer one is just preventing it. Otherwise it could also be different methods of reporting and bringing up those lights. if its not the PSU, that would be more to look into.
