Hello,

Hopefully I have chose the right place to post this. I have 2 network drives WD ShareSpace and D-Link DNS 320 that still have media on them and work perfectly fine with my internet. I have noticed that I can not write to them, only read. I found the manage page for one of them and made an account and logged in. I was wondering how I could log into the network drive in windows so I can gain write permission. I am sorry if this is a really dumb question!!

Thank you,
if you need anything else lmk pls
Thanks!

Hi buddy,

A few questions as follows:

1. Are your network drives visible on your home network? Can you see them within the Windows > Network window?

2. Can you browse the network share within Windows? Does it ask for login credentials?

3. Can you write to the drives within their web-interface?

4. Have you ever been able to write to them or is this just started happening?

1. They are visible on windows in file explorer (if thats what you mean)

2. I can browse the share easily for both of them. I can access the folder and subfolders and all the files.

3. I can view the WD-Sharespace files through the web interface (Twonkymedia) and the DNS-320 I can access the web interface with the login but can only do admin tasks like restarting, creating users etc.

4. They were unplugged for years and I just plugged them in a few weeks ago just because I would like to store stuff on the network since my computer and phone are running out of storage. The WD-Sharespace wasnt reset and worked as soon as I plugged it in, the DNS-320 however, I had to click the reset button. It still has the data on it.
