So basically we have this argument that 60hz monitor is capped to 60fps even if your pc can give you more than that, yes you can only see 60fps but if your pc can give u 300 fps then it will give u 300fps right? They said that unless i upgrade my monitor, my fps will be CAPPED to 60fps?? Why rtss showing me 300fps then?

A 60hz monitor can never display more than 60 fps.  Your system can be pushing 300 fps but YOU will not see more than 60fps on a 60hz monitor.

Its then a limitation of the display, not your system.

There will be less latency and better responsiveness if you are running very high FPS on a 60hz monitor though.

No, it's not capped; it's just that your monitor can refresh 60 times a second. If you count in tearing, you can see 1-5 frames, usually the latest ones, that the monitor successfully grabs. Only if you limit your frame rate (fps) by using V-sync or some other method of limiting will you achieve 60 fps. With 300 you still get some input advantage, 60 is going to feel more sluggish. But with a higher refresh you'd get a way better experience.

The computer is rendering at 300fps but only 60fps is able to be displayed
