Got into IT aprenticeship at a nice business tech company . For short i need a server grade fax modem (pci-e) min 2 rj11 ports . Also they want it to be hardware , not software controlled , because software can be unreliable ( i have no idea how to explain in english ) . Itll go into rack mount server. I googled but no good results came up :( . Help please :)

I have setup something similar a long while back, it was essentially a pcie fax modem card in a workstation with some software running on it (can't remember exact details). I don't understand why you would want it to be only hardware controlled if that is even possible. How would you send/receive faxes without some software to direct the faxes to PDF or a printer.

Try googeling for a Fax Modem Card, there are a few on amazon. I can't vouch for their quality or anything but that's what you need I believe.

Or I found this one. http://www.usr.com/en/products/56k-dialup-modem/usr5638/

If the overall objective is to digatize your fax system then there are some fax machines (from sharp for example) that have the capablity to email all incomming faxes as PDF's or save them to a network folder and to send faxes using a virtual Fax printer on the pc.

Accidentally pooped my pants in the elevator.

I'm taking this shit to a whole new level.
