Basically what the title says. Just looking for a decent antivirus for my new pc. Currently downloaded advanced systemcare 6 but it's not exactly an antivirus although it detects them when you run a deep scan, it's more for registry defrag, disk defrag etc.

What do you guys use?

I use Malwarebytes for general anti-virus and SpyBot for spyware and adware.

Do you guys use registry cleaners like ccleaner or tuneup or advanced systemcare?

I've used Avast for 3 years. I've never had a virus AFAIK. Then again, I'm somewhat computer savvy (enough to have a job in IT), so it could just be that I can recognize the difference between an ad that looks like a popup box and an actual popup box.

I was a beta tester, well I think that you have to find that it fits your needs when it comes to Protection.

The best that I have seen around and tested with a lot of viruses is  Malwarebytes.

The Microsoft "solution" here isn't really good at all when It comes to Virus Database Updates.

Avast Is very good and well made software but It is not very effective.

Hope I helped
