greetings people, or sentient being able to read this, I come looking for recommendations, not long ago I became a radiologist, which mean part of my job it's interpretation of (CT scans and MRI), in computers, right now I use my own laptop (ASUS TUF GAMING F17) because it is better than the desktop that it's at work, but I want to make 2 computers to keep working, one to pitch at work to replace what they have (and to not have to carry my laptop to work), and one for me at home since they do send work at night (which would double as my gaming PC). The problem is that most guides I find in the internet are for gaming or for home office so I wanted some advice. The program we use most are DICOM VIEWERS specifically talking RadiAnt, which provide a list that is below for minimum and recommended requirements to use as a guide of what I need.

Thanks in advance

Minimum system requirements:
•Microsoft Windows system (Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Windows 11 are supported)
•Intel or AMD 1GHz or faster processor
•1GB of RAM
•10MB of available hard-disk space for installation; additional free space required for local archive and image caching
•1024 x 768 screen resolution

Recommended system requirements:
•Microsoft Windows 10 or Windows 11 system
•Intel or AMD 3GHz or faster processor with four or more cores
•4GB of RAM (8GB for 3D viewing) or more
•Fast SSD system drive
•1920 x 1080 (or higher) screen resolution
•NVIDIA graphics card (10 series or newer) for GPU-accelerated 3D VR and MPR

Budget (including currency): around 1000-1500  US dollars

Country: Mexico

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: RadiAnt (DICOM VIEWER)

Other details Would like a good monitor, the better contrast between black and white and everything between the better.

Hello... I think I have Mixed & Matched the Color Schemes of this Build List really well for you and it should look Fabulous.

As you don't need much in the ways of CPU Specs a Standard Ryzen 5 CPU will work just fine for you so I picked the Ryzen 5 7600x with a Speed of 47.GHz. I paired it with a Black CPU Cooler that has ARGB Lighting and a Digital Temp Screen on the Top so you can always see what the Temp of your CPU is, anything under 90c is acceptable but it should be around 75c or less while under Load.

For the Motherboard I went with the ASRock B650 Steel Legend that is mostly all White in Color. As a Bonus is has Built-In WiFi if you need it.

I went with a Kit of Black ARGB DDR5 RAM of 32GB 6000Mhz/MT CL30. This is the Standard Speed for any CPU that uses DDR5 RAM.

For Storage I went with a Fast Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB M.2 SSD. You didn't say how much Storage you needed so I went with 2TB.

As for the GPU (Video Card) I went with a Black Sapphire PULSE RX 7800XT 16GB. This should be more than enough for any Game you will be Playing.

The PC Case is a Montech XR Black. It comes with 3 ARGB Fans + a Fan Hub if you ever needed to add more Fans.

For a PSU or Power Supply I went with an MSI MAG A850GL. It has the latest Standards for PC Power Requirements meaning it is ATX 3.0/PCIe 5.0 Ready and is 80+ Gold Certified.

I really think this is what you might be looking for as far as a Color Scheme and Aesthetics. It will look Fantastic when all put together, it took me a bit to figure out what Parts should be Black or White but it was really Fun.

Have a Look and let me know what you think. Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have. I can be reached much faster on Discord: Wizardsnapper#2772 as I have this open 24/7.

I have some experience with configuring computers for this purpose, and for the most part we spec normal workstation class computers with a decent CPU, 64gb of memory and a graphic card supported by the software manufacturer (Usually Nvidia professional GPU one step up from the lowest model). Most of the cost for these types of computers is the monitor. Even the computers used for remote work have one or two normal 27” monitors and a calibrated/certified dedicated monochrome or color monitor for the examination. The type of monitor varies with the type of images being examined, but mostly from the Eizo Radiforce line. I do not know how the health legislation you are under, but here it would simply not be legal to use a normal monitor for this purpose. If these types of monitors are out of scope I would recommend you to at least  look at a Dicom certified monitor, like the HP HC line.

Wow this is kool! Dude my wife’s a radiographer as well! I’m build her a racing sim for both of us and having an issue on her build! her specs

ryzen 7 9800x3d

x870 aorus elite wifie7

4tb PCie 4.0 990Pro

rog 5080

Corsair DDR5 32GB 6000MHz

I was told the board needs a bios update and the chip? And we only got her the 4tb for program files plus games! Is that ok? And the board has 4-5 places for her PCie 4.0 and the top slot says 5.0 does it go there or do I place it below where it says PCie 4.0?
this is one of 3 builds I’m doing! 😅
