I'm considering upgrading my computers CPU from a 7700X to a 7900X. My thought process is with to the current price of the 7900X ($340, as of writing this post) and selling my current CPU ($200, based on "buy it now" Ebay prices), $140 for 4 more cores (8 more threads) is a really good deal. However, I am concerned if I would be limiting the 7900X with my current setup in any way. Whether that be cooling, ram, power, motherboard (my main concern), etc. As for why I am making this upgrade, it's partially just to have more performance, and for the sake of my PCs longevity (If that makes sense). Interested to know what your thoughts are.
