Howdy!!!

 

  I really need help, I have a i9-13900k and it runs so hot. I undervolted it and it has lost a lot of performance and still runs semi hot. Can someone please assist me with underclocking my CPU to good temps without losing performance or assist with what I should do next. I have a GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS Elite AX motherboard, sorry I know nothing about underclocking a CPU. Thank you

Can you tell us the temperatures it's reaching under load

Underload it's going to 74-80c , for example when I play warzone it sometimes can reach 84c

Define hot. Define lost performance. And what is your cooling like? I mean yeah, you can undervolt but as someone who literally just finished upgrading from that to a 9950x, you shouldn’t need to undervolt to keep from thermal throttling with an AIO or the NH D-15 gen 2.

Well again, define hot. And what changes did you make? Like exactly. Or reset your bios and use a guide (I’d offer one but I just realized I need to get to sleep it’s 0140hrs. ). But there are plenty of guides out there. Probably a few in the forums here if you search for it.

 

but FYI, when asking for help, include all relevant data. So specs, error codes if applicable, relevant settings and changes, and relevant software. If ya still don’t have an answer in the morning I’ll come back and help ya. Make sure to post that info though.
