What to choose...

So, in this month, i'm supposed to get a new phone (it was due time to get a new phone, since i'm still using Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830...).

 

I have 2 options:

 

1. Go with a 2 year contract and get Alcatel Idol X

 

2. Save money and get Moto G, or something preferably better.

 

I'm, like my father, heavily inclined to the 2nd choice, because we both don't like tying ourselves with contracts... And with the second choice, i ca easily upgrade, if i ever decide to... Another thing to note is that Telenor (the name of the carrier) phones have a lot higher "not working properly" percentage (that actually applies to 2 out of 3 carriers here, for the 3rd i'm not sure). In my class there're around 15+ people who have Telenor contract, and almost all of them (i know only one guy who didn't, but he physically damaged it) had to send their phones at least once to get it fixed... I've had this Ace for 2,5 years (i bought it at the end of 2011, i think it was 22 December, for 288 euros... Worst phone mistake i ever made).

 

I also like to have the option to root my phones (I obviously rooted my Ace), and while i might not do it right away, i'd probably do it after half a year, or maybe more And my father strictly forbid me to root my phone if i get it on contract...

 

I'm not a heavy user, i usually read books/manga/comics, surf the web, play some games...

For tariff packages, i chose play+XL, and i can go up to 10,000 RSD at the start!

 

As for the off contract option, my father knows a guy (i've also known him my whole life) that owns a mobile shop and service (of however it's called), so i can get it rather cheap (of course it would be brand new).

 

And please, no Samsung phones! While i don't have anything against them, i have a lot against TouchWiz!

I've been thinking about it for a long time. And i've been eyeing Nexus 5. That way i have to wait, this way i can get it till the end of the month (i'm still in the process of saving for a new PC...)
