Hi

I'm looking to get some recommendations for a 3d printer that prints good detailed quality prints.
i don't really car for speed as waiting isn't really and issue and I don't mind spending the money for a good one either
one I've been looking at so far is the bamboo x1 set so far

I recommend Elegoo's new machine, the Elegoo Centauri, with a pre-sale price of $199,it should meet your needs.

thanks i might get it and wait to see what people say about the new bambu h2d.
i was also thinking of getting my sisters kids one so if the H2D turs out to be good ill have that as mine and my sisters kids can have the other one

Look into Prusa mk4s or Core One if it fits your budget, they are on the expensive side but they are both of superb quality and devout to open-source ideology so no problems with repairs or mods or whatever.  Plus Prusa is made in Europe. You can also save quite a buck if you order an assembly kit and put it together yourself.

Bambulab X1 or P1S (not that much difference between them to justify the price hike IMO) should also be good but Bambulab has a shady reputation. Honestly if you are mostly into quality of standard filaments and not into weird plastic types I'd suggest saving money and getting A1 instead. It is an open bed slinger design so no ABS and stuff for you, but for PETG and PLA it is just as good as P1S and even a bit quieter as far as I know.

BambuLab is alright.

The P1S is identical hotend and mechanical design as the X1C at a lower price. Just some comfort features (and chamber temperature sensor) removed.

H2D is pretty interesting. Hotend is similar to the A1 mini and I hope they fixed the issue where those get stuck. Complexity is the next issue with the H2D.

If you are desperate for a two nozzle system or a large printer and don't mind buying a potential disaster than go for it.

Exaggerated? Just look at the entire Prusa XL disaster. A printer that cost more and might or might not works properly by now (release was 2 years ago; after being delayed for years).

The Declaration of Independence, once the charter of democracy, begins by saying that certain things are self-evident. If we were to trace the history of the American mind from Thomas Jefferson to William James, we should find that fewer and fewer things were self-evident, until at last hardly anything is self-evident. (G. K. Chesterton - Aug. 14 1926 (The Illustrated London News))
