Budget (including currency): 2500€

Country: Finland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: ARPG,MMO,FPS,RTS

Other details

My current build is from 2019. Intel 9900k + 2080TI.

It still runs games, i want to upgrade or wait more?  I want comfortably play at 1440P. Since this is a new build, i really don't want any last gen stuff on it.

Yes. My problem is more of the CPU and GPU side. I don't know what combo is the best for 1440P.

Look at either the 7800x3D + RX 9070 XT 16GB or if you want the option to use DLSS then look at the 7800x3D + RTX 5070 Ti 16GB.

If you are going to use 2xM.2 SSD's then look a X870 chipset board so that you have enough PCIe lanes (bandwidth).

If using 3xM.2 SSD's then you want a X870E chipset board.

  • 5 weeks later...

Now i have parts pretty much locked in. CPU pick provides a bit of challenge. Since im buying these parts from a single store and not where it is necessarily the cheapest. 9800X3D is 599,99€ and the 7800X3D is 479,99€. Is the 9800X3D worth the extra money?
