Reboot required to post

Hello,

 

listing specs here;

 

asus rog STRIX X870F wifi

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

2x Corsair vengeance 16GB 6000 C36 

Corsair Icue link titan 240rx

2x Samsung 990 pro 4tb m.2

Corsair rm1000x PSU

 

latest bios on motherboard and latest windows 11.

 

the issue I have is that sometimes the computer will not post however generally after a powering off and powering on it will go through to windows fine.

the boot light(green) stays lit on the motherboard when it fails to post. Again I have attempted to try each ssd as the boot drive, reseated them both and the ram. Tried the ram in different slots and run a memory test which show no issues with the ram.

 

i updated the bios but the issue still persists. I am awaiting delivery of a graphics card so can’t try any other output yet. I am assume the motherboard is defective but just wanted to see if anyone here has any ideas before I look at returning that.

I had this with a wacky USB device once.

Device plugged in -> no post.

Device unplugged -> boots fine.

Device back in -> no post.

Device in a different USB port -> boots fine.

I reseated the CPU and this resolved this so must have been a strange error
