Interactive World Map

Hello people of the internet. 
 

I have an unusual request seeing as even I don’t know the correct term or phrase I am attempting to ask. 
 

 

A while back I saw a 3D globe in some sort of program, I don’t remember what it was. But essentially what it was, is someone created a fully developed fantasy world meant for their book/novel. 
 

It was interactable where you could use your mouse to rotate the planet and see all of its intricacies, the geography and oceans. I’ve linked an image to the google picture I’m referencing. 
 

I have created my own world map and wish to do a similar thing but I cannot get in contact with the creator to discuss how they pulled off a cool thing like this. 
 

Do you guys know any programs where I can do something similar to this? If so what is the term for creating something like this. Or what can I Google exactly to learn how to do this.
