i am getting an error on my Bambu labs a1 printer after i replaced my heating element, it is saying the calibration failed because it z axis homing failed, i have swapped the print head board and that has not fixed the problem. and bambu labs support hasn't been any help.

what do i have to replace or fix or anything.

1. Obvious one - does the Z-axis move at all when you try the calibration? Check the lead screws (that guide the thing up and down) for debris or blockages, try moving it with your hand when the printer is turned off.

2. Have you checked the cable connections under the printer? Make sure everything is plugged in fully, unplug and replug just in case. Since you've replaced some parts already trace your actions back and make sure that no wire in your way was left damaged or unplugged.

Check this thread in general, has many solutions but seems like there are just as many causes for it so whatever works for you: https://forum.bambulab.com/t/homing-of-z-axis-failed-on-my-a1/47338
