5090 Recommendations

Country: Finland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: High-end gaming, video editing, AI and rendering (blender, for example)

Other details: Rest of the build is still undecided, but probably going with 9800x3D for CPU.

 

Hey, this is my first time gunning for a powerhouse PC - usually I buy budget rigs, so I'd like some recommendations on what brands would be the most reliable or good in general for a 5090. I'm specifically trying to gun for the "sponsored" cards that are selling for MSRP for a limited duration in my country.

 

The options so far seem to be:

 

Inno3D GeForce RTX 5090 X3

MSI GeForce RTX 5090 32G VENTUS 3X OC

Asus GeForce RTX 5090 TUF Gaming

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5090 WINDFORCE OC

 

So if you could rank these 4, what would the priority be? They're all priced the exact same; 2455 €. My gut says Asus > MSI=Gigabyte > Inno3D but I have very limited knowledge so would definitely be happy to hear other perspectives!

The one you can get your hands on, otherwise it doesn't make a difference. This questions is asked by thousands of people independently every two years for every new launch and the answer is always the same.

 

If you're paying attention to various tech forums and discords tonight talking about the lines outside of retailers, the launch will be BAD. The Microcenter in the Philadelphia area has a total of 4, yes 4 5090's. You simply will not have the luxury of choice. Period.

 

Whatever you do, please don't buy this card and expect to fully utilize it at 1440p.
